My own path didn't stay in one lane, either. Family Medicine. Geriatrics. Ophthalmology. Aesthetic Medicine. Dermatology. Psychiatry. Six different fields, six different ways of looking at the same patient — and it was that range that let me see what fifteen-minute, insurance-driven visits kept missing: women bounced from specialist to specialist, never once treated as a whole person.
Studying under Dr. Heather Hirsch, one of the most respected names in perimenopause and menopause care, gave that instinct a name and a focus. It became Fifty — a practice built entirely around a women's midlife transitions and integrative medicine: evidence-based, unrushed, personal.
But Fifty was never meant to be a hormone clinic that happens to see the whole person — it's a whole-person practice that happens to specialize in hormones. Some patients come to me because of hot flashes or a period that's gone unpredictable. Others come because they need a provider who understands what midlife mood shifts actually feel like, or who won't dismiss changing skin as "just aging," or simply someone who treats mind and body as one conversation instead of six separate referrals. Hormones might be the reason you walk in the door — or they might never come up at all. Either way, you get the same six-fields-in-one lens, focused entirely on what you actually need.
